Below is a list of designs I have to make decisions on:

Side panels: There are three different styles and I have to choose one.
SMBU will have a side menu and a shop where you can spend your hard-earned coins to purchase abilities. It will also have in-game commentary and live information. How should the side menu, the shop, the commentary and the live information panels look? Help me decide.

These are early builds. Each one is a single archive: unpack it, keep the folder together, and run it from there. Nothing needs installing. The README.txt inside each archive has the details.

Super Mario Bros Ultimate 0.0.2

The game itself: a Super Mario Bros. (NES) clone written in C on SDL3. The archive includes the player's guide (player-guide.html). A gamepad is picked up when it is connected.

Linux, 64-bit

Unpack it and run ./run.sh. It needs glibc 2.38 or newer, which is Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 13, Fedora 39 or anything later. The SDL libraries it uses are included.

Unzip it and double-click smbu.exe. The SDL .dll files it needs are included. If the game does not start, the reason is in smbu.log.

SentinelEngine 0.0.1

The small SDL3 engine that SMBU started from, packaged with its demos. It is not a game: it opens a menu of demos that show what the engine can do, including a Gamepad Demo.
